What is JAJAH Mobile Web?

JAJAH Mobile Web is a one-click free global phone service available directly from the browser on your smartphone.

Smartphone users open up the browser, login to JAJAH Mobile Web (mobile.jajah.com) and initiate a call by clicking on a contact in the address book or entering the number directly. No downloads are required and users can access their JAJAH account from anywhere at anytime.

What devices does it work on?

JAJAH Mobile Web is compatible with any phone that has WAP2.0/XHTML browser.

How do I get it?

There is nothing to "get". Simply open your mobile browser and go to mobile.jajah.com. You have to register to use JAJAH Mobile Web. Your experience will be optimized if you already have names in your address book.

Where does it work (countries)?

It will work in any country that has either a GSM or CDMA mobile phone network (this includes 99% of all with a minimum of 2.0G data services).

Do I need a special phone service?

Yes, a mobile data account is required.

JAJAH Mobile Web, for the first time, is supporting both of the main global mobile networks. These are called GSM and CDMA. When we talk about data plans with a GSM network you will hear the terms GPRS and EDGE. When we talk about data plans with a CDMA network you will hear the terms 1X(RTT) and EV-DO. Both types of networks use the terms 3G and HSPDA to talk about high-speed mobile data networks. All of these networks types will allow the end-user to use JAJAH Mobile Web.

Do I need a special number, or any other equipment?

No.

How much does it cost?

To register for a JAJAH account is free. You can register here. There are no contracts, equipment or downloads required to use JAJAH.

How much do calls cost? Is it really free?

Some calls are free and some calls are charged. Free calls tend to be those to other registered JAJAH users who are on a land line.

JAJAH mobile international calls are significantly cheaper than if the user were to call directly from their mobile phone. In fact, it is impossible for many users to make direct international calls from their mobile phones without purchasing expensive global call plans.

You can see our rates table here.

How is this different from other JAJAH Mobile solutions?

JAJAH Mobile plug-in, a downloadable application for mobile phones launched fall 2006 and attracted thousands of customers. It provides you access to your phone address book and option to initiate calls by sending SMS.

The new JAJAH Mobile Web is designed for smartphones and only requires visiting a URL - mobile.jajah.com. It allows consumers the ability to make free or low-cost calls with a single click on their browsers, without a global phone plan.

Both mobile solutions offer freedom and cost savings for making free or cheap international calls anywhere, anytime.
