How does JAJAH work?
JAJAH uses the Internet in order to connect two standard phones, thus implementing both the advantage of the Internet as a low-cost service and the comfort of using a regular telephone device. Basically JAJAH connects both sides with ease and comfort.
How do I make a call using JAJAH?
Placing a call is very simple. Just enter your phone number in the upper field and the desired destination number in the second field and click “call”. Your phone will then ring, pick it up and you will be connected to your desired destination. You can use any phone number, regular (landline) or mobile, but make sure that this phone is within reach. Please note that during the trial period, calls are limited to landline numbers. You can read more about how to use JAJAH in our online demo here.
How can I change my phone numbers?
JAJAH allows you to make three corrections to your registered phone numbers. To make the changes please log in to your JAJAH account and click the "my account" link. Please note: JAJAH will not allow you to enter a number that is already in use or that was in use in the past. After three changes, this option will be locked, and for any subsequent change you will have to contact
JAJAH Support.
Can I make emergency calls (i.e. police, fire department etc.)?
Basically, you can, but that would make no sense. Emergency calls are usually free of charge from your regular phone. JAJAH is not an emergency call replacement.
Can I make DTMF calls?
Yes, of course. Even though the call is initiated by JAJAH, once connected you can use your phone as you would in any other call.
Is my conversation secured when I use JAJAH?
Since JAJAH offers phone-to-phone services, the conversation is as secured as any other call you make from the same phone.
I don't have a direct phone line, but an extension in our office. Can I use my extension as source number?
Yes. JAJAH has just introduced this feature after many requests from our customers. To specify your extension in the source or destination number, select the country and enter the number normally, then add the letter "x" and then the extension number - for example: 555-1234x12 for extension 12 at 555-1234.
Can I use JAJAH from my mobile phone or PDA?
Yes. You can use
JAJAH.Mobile Web
from handsets that include a mobile browser. JAJAH.Mobile Web is designed for small displays and mobile Internet connections. Pure calling functionality on the go. If you have a Symbian handset, you can install our mobile plugin.

What happens if the mobile phone number I specified as source or destination is out of the country? Is there an additional charge? If so, who pays it?
From the mobile operator standpoint, when you make a JAJAH call it is exactly like receiving an incoming call. In most cases there is no charge for incoming calls, but we acknowledge that there could be some cases where such charges occur. If the mobile phone is outside the mobile provider's coverage area (for example - if you take your phone to a different country) usually there is an additional fee called a "roaming fee." All those fees, if applied, are charged by the mobile provider, and not by JAJAH. You may wish to consult your mobile provider to learn more about roaming fees.
I enter a number just as you said, but JAJAH keeps saying "Please enter numbers correctly." Why is that?
It may be that one of the numbers you specified (the source or the destination) is in a country which is currently not supported by JAJAH. If you want to make sure, please write us an email, and specify the source and destination numbers and we will answer you as soon as possible.
I hear an announcement on my calls that JAJAH can redial my number. What is it?
JAJAH’s convenient auto-redial service automatically connects your unanswered calls. You can even choose when you would like to have JAJAH re-attempt the call.
Please note that the auto redial service will bill you for the first minute of your call at our low rates.
